How do I get a journeyman plumber license in Oklahoma?

  1. Meet State Requirments
    • Work as an apprentice for 3 years OR
    • Have at least 3 years of variable experience in plumbing trades while serving in the U.S. military OR
    • Have a verifiable out-of-state plumbing license that is current and in good standing
      NOTE: An associate degree or Career Tech diploma certifying completion of a plumbing program of 1000 hours may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  2. Complete a Journeyman Plumber Application
  3. Pay the Application fee of $75
  4. The board will send you a letter when your application is approved. Once you receive this letter contact PSI to schedule your exam 800-733-9267 or www.psiexams.com
  5. Pass the Journeyman and Natural Gas exam

How do I get my plumbing contractor license in Oklahoma?

  1. Meet State Requirements
    • Work as an apprentice for 3 years OR
    • Have at least 3 years of variable experience in plumbing trades while serving in the U.S. military OR
    • Have a verifiable out-of-state plumbing license that is current and in good standing
