Indiana Plumber License General FAQ

  • Apprentice Plumber

  1. Meet state requirements
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Hold at least 4 years of experience in an apprenticeship program or be a licensed plumber in another state
  2. Complete a Journeyman Plumber application
    • Send in original photograph-passport size-attached to application
    • Application Payment
    • Approved school sponsor signature and current/active plumbing license
    • Application affirmation section signed and dated
  3. Pay the application fee: Odd Years - $15 | Even Years - $30
  4. Once you've been approved by the IPC you may schedule your exam:  www.2Prove.com or 866-720-7768
  5. Pass the Journeyman Plumber exam - Study with online exam prep!
